An old ally is set to return to The Flash, as Sue Dearbon comes back in the synopsis for the upcoming third episode of Season 7, "Mother."

According to the synopsis, as Eva McCulloch "becomes more powerful," Sue returns to aid Team Flash in foiling McCulloch, much to their shock. Sue, of course, has her own bone to pick with McCulloch, as in the Season 6 finale of The Flash McCulloch framed Sue for the death of the former's husband Joseph Carver.

This plot thread and others that that occurred in the finale went unresolved due to Season 6 being cut short by three episodes as a consequence of the current coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, thereby causing the season to end on a cliffhanger.
