For weeks, now, a mirror version of Iris (Candice Patton) has been impersonating the Central City Citizen reporter on The FlashWhile Barry (Grant Gustin) may not discover the full truth just yet, he will begin to realize that something is off in an upcoming episode of The CW series, leading to a tense clash with the woman he believes is his wife.

"We’re on such different pages." Gustin told Entertainment Weekly. "She has a very specific goal that Barry’s not aware of and Barry really wants to get through to her and understand what’s going on with her, but it’s not really Iris, so we see them butt heads in a way that we’ve never seen in the past."

At the end of the midseason premiere, "Marathon," Iris was pulled into the Mirror Dimension by Eva McCulloch (Efrat Dor) and replaced with a mirror version of herself. The mirror Iris has secretly been gathering items for Eva, and no one has been the wiser. But from Gustin's words, it sounds like that is about to change.

"We had one fight scene in particular -- not combat fight, but an emotional fight between the two of them -- that was definitely unlike any other Barry-Iris conflict we’ve had in the past. So it's definitely fun to do a different dynamic with Candice," Gustin continued.

Airing Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on The CW, The Flash stars Grant Gustin, sea Candice Patton, Carlos Valdes, Danielle Panabaker, Tom Cavanagh, Jesse L. Martin, Danielle Nicolet and Hartley Sawyer.
