The Flash Showrunner Gives Cryptic Tease About Sue Dibny's Debut

Break out the Book of Ralph because The Flash is bringing a little romance to the life of Ralph Dibny/Elongated Man (Hartley Sawyer).

Susan Dibny (née Dearborn), Ralph's wife in the comics, will make her debut in the second half of Season 6 of the superhero drama, according to TVLine. However, don't expect a classic meet-cute between the two lovebirds. Showrunner Eric Wallace teased an unorthodox introduction for the character.

"There's two answers to that: Sue Dearborn will appear in the back half [but] I would read into that when I say there are two answers to that question. Sometimes what you see isn’t what you see," he said. Wallace also said that the exact moment she shows up "is a huge spoiler" and refrained from giving any extra details, including who will be portraying the character.

Sue Dearborn first appeared in The Flash #119, all the way back in March of 1961. She has worked as an administrator for both the Super Buddies and the Justice League.

Airing Tuesdays at 8 p.m. on The CW, The Flash stars Grant Gustin, Candice Patton, Carlos Valdes, Danielle Panabaker, Tom Cavanagh, Jesse L. Martin, Danielle Nicolet and Hartley Sawyer.
