WARNING: The following article contains spoilers for Season 6 of The Flash, which airs Tuesdays on The CW.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, all of The CW's television series went on unplanned hiatuses in March. Now, after weeks of waiting, The Flash is finally coming back to television on Tuesday, April 21. However, since so much has happened in the world since the series last aired a new episode, you'd be forgiven for not remembering exactly where The Flash last left things off.

Well, you don't have to worry. Here is a refresher of everything that's gone down in Season 6 so far, and what the members of Team Flash have been up to for the past six months.

Negative Flash Bloodwork

Season 6 of The Flash has been different from those that have come before. In fact, the season was split into two main storylines. The first half of the season introduced Ramsey Rosso, a scientist whose research into blood disease and dark matter would lead him to become the supervillain known as Bloodwork. With his powers, Ramsey was able to infect and control others through his dark matter-powered blood -- something that even allowed him to take control of Barry Allen for a moment and turn him evil. However, Barry eventually returned to the side of good and defeated Ramsey.

After this, the entire team -- as well as the rest of the Arrowverse -- was swept up in the "Crisis on Infinite Earths" event. While the Anti-Monitor destroyed the Multiverse, Barry and a few other superheroes created a new version of reality, with a new history and slight alterations to what had come before. As a result, old villains have been made new in Star City. In the second half of the season, Team Flash has had to deal with different versions of Doctor Light and Mirror Master, as well as the mysterious organization Black Hole.

The threat of Black Hole is directly linked to the new Mirror Master Eva McCulloch. Ever since the particle accelerator explosion, Eva has been trapped in the Mirror World, and she has recently kidnapped Iris and taken her prisoner in her parallel dimension. However, Barry has no idea that Eva sent out a mirror double of his wife.

On top of that, Barry has had to deal with the loss of his powers because, after the events of "Crisis on Infinite Earths," the Speed Force was unfortunately damaged beyond repair. With the source of his powers gone, Barry now plans to create an artificial Speed Force, using the notes of his future daughter's journal.

As for the rest of Team Flash, Cisco recently returned to help his friends after some time away, while Ralph Dibny is on a quest of his own to hunt down Sue Dearbon. What's more, Eobard Thawne was recently exorcised from Nash Wells, which means the villain is now free to take on a new form and return unbeknownst to anyone. Now, as the show returns, Barry will have to figure out how to salvage his powers, realize what happened to Iris, take on the new Mirror Master, deal with Black Hole and possibly face his greatest enemy once more.

Airing Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on The CW, The Flash stars Grant Gustin, sea Candice Patton, Carlos Valdes, Danielle Panabaker, Tom Cavanagh, Jesse L. Martin, Danielle Nicolet and Hartley Sawyer.
