Official still images from The Flash Season 6's midseason premiere feature a small, but meaningful addition to Cisco's wardrobe.
The CW has officially released a series of still images from "Marathon" -- the upcoming midseason premiere of The Flash Season 6. And the episode features a small but significant addition to the wardrobe of one Cisco Ramone.
The first episode of The Flash following the Arrowverse's status quo-altering "Crisis on Infinite Earths" crossover event, "Marathon" puts Iris West-Allen in a precarious position, with her life being threatened after The Citizen publishes an "explosive story." Meanwhile, Barry Allen is left to pick up the pieces following Oliver Queen's sacrifice.
One of the major ways The Flash will be different following the crossover is the advent of Earth-Prime, a new reality created as a result of the Crisis that serves as home to the characters of The Flash, Arrow, Supergirl, DC's Legends of Tomorrow, Batwoman and Black Lightning.
Notably, prior to Earth-Prime's creation, the characters seen on The Flash, Arrow and Batwoman lived on Earth-1. Meanwhile, Supergirl's cast of characters resided on Earth-38. With this no longer the case, Cisco -- known for the various graphic t-shirts he sports on The Flash -- was finally able to add a Superman shirt to his closet. As far as we know, there was no Superman on Earth-1 prior to the Crisis, meaning Cisco could not have owned this shirt beforehand (or, if he had, no one apart from his inner circle would have understood it). Other photos in the collection feature the likes of Barry, Iris and Arrow's John Diggle, among other key Flash cast members.
LIFE AFTER THE CRISIS -- After The Citizen prints an explosive story, Iris's (Candice Patton) life is threatened. Refusing to hide from those that are attacking her, Iris sets out to expose a dangerous organization. Meanwhile, Barry (Grant Gustin) must face the consequences of the Crisis and fulfill Oliver Queen's wish for him. Stefan Pleszczynski directed the episode written by Sam Chalsen & Lauren Barnett (#610). Original airdate 2/4/2020.
Returning Tuesday, Feb. 4 at 8 p.m. ET/CT on The CW, The Flash stars Grant Gustin, Candice Patton, Carlos Valdes, Danielle Panabaker, Tom Cavanagh, Jesse L. Martin, Danielle Nicolet and Hartley Sawyer.
