The Rogues are back in town... sort of.
The Flash's executive producer Todd Helbing announced this weekend at Comic-Con International in San Diego that the upcoming season would show fans a younger version of the Rogues. It was not clear how much of a factor the gallery of villains will be during the season, but with the earlier announcement of season five's big bad, it is possible that the group may only make a brief appearance, or show up in a standalone episode.
The show has already introduced many of the evildoers who make up the Rogues, a conglomeration of Flash's enemies who eventually team up to try and defeat the hero. But many of them have gone up against Team Flash in an individual capacity, or joined up with only one or two other villains.
Leonard Snart, aka Captain Cold, has typically the leader of the group in the comics, and has certainly been the most prevalent of the Rogues on The Flash. Snart has often appeared in episodes with other adversaries who make up the team, including his sister (Golden Glider), and partner in crime (Heat Wave).

In whatever capacity they make their appearances, fans are sure to be excited by the idea of seeing a younger version of the Rogues. Since the individual members of the group of adversaries have been popping up throughout the show's run, it would certainly be interesting to see what kind of antics their younger selves get into.
The Flash returns Tuesday, October 9th on The CW, and stars Grant Gustin, Candice Patton, Carlos Valdes, Danielle Panabaker, Hartley Sawyer, Danielle Nicolet, Tom Cavanagh and Jesse L. Martin.
