The first trailer for Season 5 of The Flash debuted at Comic-Con International in San Diego, and fully introduces Barry Allen and Iris West's future daughter, Nora West-Allen, along with an iconic piece of Flash history.
The trailer begins by recapping the events from the Season 4 finale, where Nora helped Barry stop a satellite from crashing into Central City to her surprise identity reveal. Next, we learn Nora's superhero name is XS, which is a nickname Barry gave her as a kid. Somehow, Nora has gotten herself stuck in the present-day, and Barry is concerned she could "Marty Mcfly herself out of existence."
However, Nora's poker face is pretty bad, and Barry can tell she's keeping a secret, with Nora declaring, "I think I've made a big mistake." Before the trailer concludes, we get a look at The Flash's signature Flash ring, along with a tease of the Season 5 villain.
Jessica Parker Kennedy's Nora West-Allen debuted in the first episode of “Crisis on Earth-X,” this past season’s four-show Arrowverse crossover, and appeared in four other episodes over the course of the season. Though she made quite an entrance, her identity wasn’t revealed until The Flash‘s Season 4 finale, where she crashed a party for Joe and Cecile’s newborn daughter and announced she had made a massive mistake.
Airing Tuesday nights on The CW, The Flash stars Grant Gustin, Candice Patton, Carlos Valdes, Danielle Panabaker, Tom Cavanaugh, Jesse L. Martin, Danielle Nicolet, Hartley Sawyer and Jessica Parker Kennedy.
