A bearded Barry Allen has found a way out of the Speed Force in a new promo for The Flash Season 4 -- and it looks like STAR Labs' own Cisco Ramon has prepared for his return with the promise of a new suit.
The video begins with a produce truck trundling down a lonely country road. Suddenly, the familiar red-and-yellow lightning streak of the Flash appears and stops the truck dead in its tracks with a head-on collision. Shortly after, Cecile Horton -- the district attorney of Central City -- brings Joe West, Iris West, Wally West and Cisco to a room housing Barry, but not before telling them to brace themselves. From here, we see Barry lying in a hospital bed with electrodes strapped to his temples. When he opens his eyes, Cisco leans down over him and promises that new suit.
Next, we see quick glimpses of a new samurai-inspired villain, who looks inspired by DC Comics' Samuroids. The robotic warriors were built by Baron Katana and have been a thorn in Flash's side on a few different occasions since their first appearance in The Flash #180. The promo concludes without providing any more clues on just how Barry escaped his Speed Force prison.
Starring Grant Gustin as the Scarlet Speedster, The Flash returns Tuesday, October 10 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on The CW. The series also stars Jesse L. Martin, Tom Cavanagh, Carlos Valdes, Candice Patton, Danielle Panabaker, Keiynan Lonsdale and more.
