"The Flash" alum Robbie Amell has good news and bad news for fans of Ronnie Raymond.

The bad news? Earth-1 Ronnie is definitely dead. While some viewers had hoped the one-time Firestorm had survived his apparent demise in Season Two, Amell confirmed to ComicBook.com that, as far as he knows, he's gone for good.

"I think that version of Ronnie is dead because he sacrificed himself to save the city," he said.

There's still good news, however. The actor said there's still a chance of some other version of Ronnie returning to "The Flash," with its somewhat-nebulous timelines and realities. "You know, there is always Earth-3, Earth-4, Earth 5 ...," he said.

Amell returned to "The Flash" later in Season Two as the Earth-2 version of Ronnie, the evil, Zoom ally Deathstorm, but that character died the same episode.

However, with the actor open to returning and the show, which has embraced alternate-universe versions of fan-favorite characters, it's possible we could eventually see another version of Ronnie. A possible problem could be Amell's schedule, though: He's set to executive produce and star in "Code 8."

Airing Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on The CW, "The Flash" stars Grant Gustin, Candice Patton, Jesse L. Martin, Tom Cavanagh, Carlos Valdes, Danielle Panabaker and Keiynan Lonsdale.
