WARNING: The following contains spoilers for The Flash #761 by Joshua Williamson, Howard Porter, Hi-Fi, and Steve Wands, on sale now.

In The Flash #761, one of Reverse-Flashe's big reveals is that he's been using a secret power gained through the Negative Speed Force against the Flash and his family to devastating effects. Thawne proves that he hasn't just been Barry Allen's main nemesis but that he's been affecting the entire DC Universe for a long time.

Thawne has been affecting Barry's life since before he ever became the Flash. After going back in time and killing Barry's mother, Reverse-Flash kept screwing with Barry's life in his attempt to ruin the hero.

In The Flash #761, Thawne asks Barry, "Did you really think killing your mother was the end?" Reverse-Flash tells Barry that he was responsible for creating some of the most brutal Flash villains such as Zoom and Godspeed, but he was also responsible for dividing the Flash Family and at times pitting them against one another.

Thawne tells Barry that his biggest mistake was never taking the time to learn about the Negative Speed Force, and by rejecting it he rejected a tremendous amount of power. One of the gifts Thawne got from it was the ability to whisper "at a hypnotic frequency," thereby creating doubt in other people's minds and swaying them to do things they normally wouldn't do. Thawne tells him he influenced Wally West to cover up the accidental deaths during Heroes In Crisis and even made Barry and Wally fight each other during "The Flash War" arc.

Thawne's influence also manipulated Kid Flash and was instrumental in the dissolution of the Teen Titans. During Teen Titans Annual #2, by Robbie Thompson, Eduardo Pansica, Julio Ferreira, and Marcelo Maiolo, it's revealed that Damian Wayne has been hiding secrets and Kid Flash, it turns out, is complicit in those lies. In this issue, Damian's secrets about building a secret prison for criminals, engaging in a brutal form of psychological warfare with his enemies as well as proving he isn't against killing villains he deems "deserve it" are all exposed. Batman and the rest of the Titans have made it clear that they don't believe in the methods Damian's been using and are afraid of the man he's become. Batman even tells them that they need to disband the Titans because Damian's actions have stained their record and the careers of each member of the Titans. In short, the Teen Titans are no longer viewed as heroes in the superhero community.

This moment is revisited in The Flash #761 when Thawne tells Barry about his "whisper hypnosis." In one panel, Kid Flash is seen looking over Damian's shoulder as Damian is dispensing his extreme form of justice on a baddie. Thawne tells Barry that he was responsible for whispering in Kid Flash's ear that, "You know this is wrong, but go along with it anyway."

The implication here is huge. Kid Flash could have been the voice of reason who tried to point out to Damian that he was crossing the line between being a superhero and being a moralless vigilante. Through Reverse-Flash's influence, Thawne made Kid Flash look the other way, and this event rippled to current events leading to the current incarnation of the Teen Titans falling apart.
