The titles for the first five episodes of The Flash's Season 7 have been revealed, a few of which have some rather interesting names.

Courtesy of The CW, the names of the season's inaugural five episodes are "All''s Well That Ends Wells," "The Speed of Thought," "Mother," "Central City Strong" and "Fear Me." As of this writing, there are no available synopses for the episodes, though the titles of the season premiere and the last episode listed evoke an ominous tone.

Due to the current coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, Season 6 of The Flash was reduced from its planned 22 episodes to 19 episodes, causing the season to end on a cliffhanger. Said cliffhanger featured such unresolved plot points as the creation of an artificial Speed Force and the disappearance of Iris West-Allen, who was still trapped in the Mirrorverse thanks to Eva McCulloch. Season 7 will wrap up those loose ends, as well as finally reveal the identity of Godspeed.

Season 7 of The Flash will also no longer feature its Elongated Man actor Hartley Sawyer, due to Sawyer's firing earlier this year over controversial tweets he made several years ago. In addition, it was confirmed by veteran The Flash actor John Wesley Shipp -- who plays Golden Age Scarlet Speedster Jay Garrick in the series -- that the character would return.

Showrunner Eric Wallace also revealed that supporting character Joe West would gain a story arc influenced by "the societal changes happening in today’s world." However, Season 7's production recently halted due to a set member testing positive for COVID-19.

The full synopsis for The Flash's Season 7 is below.

After a thrilling cliffhanger last season which saw the new Mirror Master (Efrat Dor) victorious and still-at-large in Central City, The Flash must regroup in order to stop her and find a way to make contact with his missing wife, Iris West-Allen (Candice Patton). With help from the rest of Team Flash, which includes superheroes Caitlin Snow (Danielle Panabaker), Cisco Ramon (Carlos Valdes) and Nash Wells (Tom Cavanagh), as well as the Flash’s adoptive father Joe West (Jesse L. Martin), Meta-Attorney Cecile Horton (Danielle Nicolet), tough cub reporter Allegra Garcia (Kayla Compton) and brilliant tech-nerd Chester P. Runk (Brandon McKnight)... Flash will ultimately defeat Mirror Master. But in doing so, he’ll also unleash an even more powerful and devastating threat on Central City: one that threatens to tear his team—and his marriage—apart.

The Flash stars Grant Gustin, Candice Patton, Jesse L. Martin, Danielle Panabaker, Carlos Valdes and Tom Cavanagh. Season 7's premiere date is currently being evaluated by The CW. All six seasons of the series are currently streaming on Netflix.
