SPOILER WARNING: This article contains major spoilers for “Luck Be a Lady,” the latest episode of The Flash.

When Team Flash opened the Speed Force to bring Barry back, the Scarlet Speedster wasn't the only thing to escape. In "Luck Be a Lady," the latest episode of The Flash, the team discovered that they unleashed a wave of Dark Matter when they rescued Barry, which turned a bus full of regular people into metahumans.

Following his return to Earth-1, Harry constructed a Dark Matter detector in order to figure out where all of Central City's new metahumans were coming from. He, Cisco and Barry quickly stumbled across a swath of Dark Matter at an unassuming intersection. "Here. Right here. This is where Becky Sharpe was exposed to Dark Matter," Harry said, only for Cisco to point out that the intersection lacked any way to produce that much Dark Matter.

"There was three weeks ago," Barry corrected them. "This is where I came out of the Speed Force... This is where the portal opened."

"And a wave of Dark Matter washed out with you," Harry pointed out. "I can only imagine how many metahumans you created."

As Harry said this, a bus passed in front of them. "My best guess? A busload," Cisco said.

Barry, Harry and Cisco quickly returned to STAR Labs to let the rest of the team know what had happened. "All the people on that bus. We turned them into metas," Caitlin lamented.

Harry then turned the blame on Cisco. "You should be cursed at because you opened the Speed Force without consulting me," he snapped.

"Okay, I did consult you, and you're the one who gave me the calculations in the first place," Cisco retorted.

Of course, it doesn't much matter who's to blame at this point, because -- either way -- Central City now has at least 12 new metahumans to deal with. What's worse, the Thinker has plans for them, as seen in the conclusion to last week's episode "Mixed Signals." However, by the end of the episode, Team Flash started to catch onto the Thinker when they realized how very coincidental these circumstances were and began to wonder if someone could be behind it all.

Starring Grant Gustin as the Scarlet Speedster, The Flash airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on The CW. The series also stars Jesse L. Martin, Tom Cavanagh, Carlos Valdes, Candice Patton, Danielle Panabaker, Keiynan Lonsdale and more.
