With “Crisis on Infinite Earths” resetting the multiverse, a number of recurring characters on The Flash are now unaccounted for on Earth-Prime. While none of the regulars were from elsewhere in the multiverse, there were recurring characters from other places that have been affected in major ways. "Marathon," the first Flash episode following "Crisis," further complicates things, revealing different versions of some existing villains, like Doctor Light and Mirror Master.

In a post-Crisis world, we can’t just assume that things are the same as the old Earth-1. Given that, here are the characters we have to presume have died with the changes to the multiverse.

Harry and Jesse Wells

The Flash Harry Wells

These are the big ones, as Harry and Jesse were characters particularly beloved. Cisco specifically calls them out as having died in “Marathon” while watching a message that Harry sent him. Although it's always possible this plot thread might go farther, for right now Jesse Quick and Harry Wells seem to have died in the Crisis.

Harrison Sherloque Wells

Sherloque last appeared at the end of Season 5, going off in a breach with Earth-1 Renee Adler, presumably back home to Earth-221. Assuming that Cisco is correct about Nash being the last Wells left, Sherloque and his Earth were destroyed by the anti-matter wave and not recreated in the new multiverse.

Breacher

danny trejo breacher

Breacher's most recent appearance was in “Kiss Kiss Breach Breach,” coming to Cisco for help after the death of his daughter, Cynthia/Gypsy. He went back to Earth-19 and hasn’t been heard from since. Even if he still has his breaching abilities, the fact that the physics of breaching changed so much means that even if he’s out there somewhere, he won’t be able to get out.

Jay Garrick and Joan Williams

Jay Garrick and his wife Joan Williams last appeared in Season 6, Episode 2, “A Flash of the Lightning,” where they helped Barry see the future post-Crisis. They didn't appear in “Crisis,” and there’s no sign of them yet on Earth-Prime, leaving us to assume the doppelgangers of Barry's parents are gone for good.

The Council of Wells

There's no good indication of what happened to the Council of Wells, who originally appeared in Season 4, Episode 6, “When Harry Met Harry.” Cisco yells at Nash in “Marathon,” cursing his bad luck that the only Wells who survived is the one who caused the Crisis in the first place. This would imply that Harrison Wolfgang Wells, Wells 2.0, H. Lothario Wells, H.P. Wells, Sonny Wells, Wells the Grey, Hells Wells and Mime Wells (who’s never given a real name) are all dead as well.

What We Don’t Know

Gorilla Grodd King Shark Arrowverse Fight Scene

All of the above characters are presumed dead, but that doesn't mean they're definitely gone. Although they haven't appeared since "Crisis on Infinite Earths," there's always a chance that they found another way to survive. After all, the amalgamation of the various Earths does mean it's possible that we just haven't seen them yet on Earth-Prime. "Gorilla City," after all, used to just exist on Earth-2, but is now on Earth-Prime. Plus, King Shark, who is originally from Earth-2, in the "Who’s Who?" binder Cisco has in “Marathon,” so we have some confirmation that he survived. He might not be the only one.

Airing Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET/CT on The CW, The Flash stars Grant Gustin, Candice Patton, Carlos Valdes, Danielle Panabaker, Tom Cavanagh, Jesse L. Martin, Danielle Nicolet and Hartley Sawyer.
