After learning that Gorilla Grodd is slated to return to "The Flash" in season two, The Wrap has revealed new details about the development from executive producer Andrew Kreisberg and Danielle Panabaker.

"I think in season one you got to see just a tiny bit of her relationship with Grodd," said Panabaker, who plays Dr. Caitlin Snow on the show. "You'll get to see a little bit more of that and understand their connection from before. He's got some unfinished business with her, I'd say."

Kreisberg's comments really solidify the Grodd/Snow dynamic, citing the classic film "King Kong": "Caitlin plays Fay Wray to Grodd's Kong."

In his first appearance, it was revealed that Grodd was a test subject at S.T.A.R. Labs and developed a bond with Caitlin Snow. The gorilla received mental powers thanks to the particle accelerator's explosion and, after spending a season stalking Team Flash from the shadows and sewers, made his big move in the episode "Grodd Lives."

"The Flash" airs Tuesdays at 8 PM ET on the CW.
