Jay and Silent Bob find themselves in Central City in the latest episode of The Flash, "Null and Annoyed". Kevin Smith (who also directs the episode) and Jason Mewes appear as a pair of inept security guards facing a break-in by new meta Null.

The news about the upcoming cameos was announced by Smith on an episode of his long running Fatman on Batman podcast where the fan-favorite director revealed the episode writers Lauren Certo and Kristen Kim suggested he and Mewes appear as security guards. Smith clarified that he and Mewes' characters are "not Jay and Silent Bob, but Jason speaks and I don't. So there you go."

The episode marks Smith's third time directing The Flash having previously helmed episodes in Seasons 2 and 3, the first of which also featured Mewes, a lifetime friend and collaborator of Smith's, in a cameo role as well.
