It has been reported that Warner Bros.' The Flash has already begun filming.

According to Deadline, the production slate for directors Andy Muschietti and Barbara Muschietti's production company Double Dream lists The Flash as being in production in London. Barbara Muschietti previously teased a project commencing production on social media, though gave no hints as to what the project might be.

The Flash solo film was officially announced in 2013 with an intended release date of 2018 and Ezra Miller attached to the project, reprising his role as the DCEU's speedster. However, following the release of Joss Whedon's Justice League in 2017, the situation surrounding the Flash film became uncertain. In 2020, it was revealed that Ben Affleck, though technically retired from the role, will return to play Bruce Wayne once more in the film, alongside Michael Keaton, whose role is currently uncertain.

Rumors stemming from the screenplay that Rick Famuyiwa was set to direct before exiting the project suggest that DCEU veteran Ray Fisher may also be returning as Cyborg. It should be noted, however, that Fisher has stated publicly he will no longer be working with Warner Bros. on projects under DC Films President Walter Hamada.

Directed by Andy Muschietti from a script by Christina Hodson, The Flash stars Ezra Miller, Michael Keaton, Ben Affleck, Sasha Calle, Kiersey Clemons and Maribel Verdú. The film arrives in theaters Nov. 4, 2022.
