In light of Savitar's true identity and the fact that both Carlos Valdes and Danielle Panabaker have played evil versions of their characters, it seems like everyone on The Flash has broken bad, but with one notable exception: Kenyan Lonsdale's Wally West. However, if it were up to Lonsdale, that would change. In a recent interview with Decider, Lonsdale's admitted that he would love to explore his character's darker side and would bring that up to the show's creators.
"I would love to play a villain Wally West." Lonsdale said. "We haven’t seen Earth-2 Wally, so I really, really, really want to be evil, for like a whole season! That would be so much fun. I’ll definitely drop hints [with the showrunners]."
Asked which bad guys he might attempt to emulate, Lonsdale went back to the show's first season. "I really loved Reverse Flash from Season 1. I just thought it’s such an interesting concept to really like the bad guy, and I love when that’s played on really well," he shared. "I just imagine that was so much fun for Tom [Cavanagh] to tap into and to be this character that is so evil and is plotting, and also have so much love for this person. It’s not so one-dimensional. I think that would be a really cool bad guy to portray."
Starring Grant Gustin as the Scarlet Speedster, the season finale of “The Flash” airs this today at 8 pm ET/PT on The CW. The series also stars Jesse L. Martin, Tom Cavanagh, Carlos Valdes, Candice Patton, Danielle Panabaker and Keiynan Lonsdale.
