The Flash Promo Seems to Confirm a New Villain's Debut

The Flash may be taking a break for nearly a full month, but a new promo for the next episode teases the arrival of a particularly formidable villain.

The CW has released the first official promo for Season 5's 18th episode, confirming the episode title to be "Godspeed." The title bears the same name as the popular villain created by Joshua Williamson and Carmine Di Giandomenico, who debuted at the start of DC Rebirth in 2016.

A fan visiting the set of the series as it filmed in Vancouver claimed that the 18th episode would be titled "Godspeed" and the promo appears to confirm this. Set photos that leaked days later showed an actor on set in costume as the character, further fueling the rumors that the villain will appear this season in a sequence set in the future of Central City.

Judging by the promo, Nora's partnership with Eobard Thawne will be examined in the new episode, as well, meaning more than one villainous speedster may be making an appearance.
