WARNING: The following contains major spoilers for Season 6 of The Flash.
The season 6 finale of The Flash will air next week, arriving early due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic shutting down production on various television and film projects. Star Grant Gustin talked about the premature finale and what plot points, if any, would be resolved.
Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, Gustin said, "Generally, we tend to finish the season with a little bit of, you know, we like that element [of surprise] to end the year." He went on to acknowledge how much would be left unresolved, "It's not necessarily a reconciliation with a lot of things that were going on with Team Flash, and Barry and Iris' separation and the mirror-verse -- so yeah, there's a lot that is left unfinished."

Gustin then explained that the season finale will address Iris being trapped in the Mirrorverse and Barry's resolve to rescue her, "We'll see that start to develop a little bit more in 618 and things will definitely still come to a head in 619, but it doesn't get resolved as much as we'd probably like it too."
During episode 10, "Marathon", Iris West-Allen was pulled into the Mirrorverse by Eva McCulloch and replaced with a mirror duplicate, who sought to free Eva from the Mirrorverse. To make matters worse, Barry's speed has started to deplete due to the destruction of the Speed Force during "Crisis on Infinite Earths."
The Flash stars Grant Gustin, Candice Patton, Carlos Valdes, Danielle Panabaker, Tom Cavanagh, Jesse L. Martin, Danielle Nicolet and Hartley Sawyer. The season 6 finale, "Success Is Assured," airs 8 p.m. ET/PT on The CW.
