The Flash star Ezra Miller was arrested in Hilo, Hawaii on charges of disorderly conduct and harassment.

According to a police report filed by the Hawai'i Police Department, Miller was at a bar, yelling obscenities at visitors singing karaoke. They then "grabbed the microphone from a 23-year-old woman singing karaoke (disorderly conduct offense) and later lunged at a 32-year-old man playing darts (harassment offense). The bar owner asked Miller to calm down several times to no avail." Bail was set at $500, which Miller paid before being released.

This is not the first public incident involving Miller. In 2020, a video surfaced showing the Justice League star assault a woman in Prikið Kaffihús, a bar in Reykjavik, Iceland. The video showed Miller interacting with a fan. The woman approached them and seemingly joked about having a fight. Miller responded, "Oh, you wanna fight? That's what you wanna do?" before grabbing her her by the throat. Miller then threw the woman to the floor with their hands around her neck, which is when the cameraman attempted to intervene and ended the recording.

The footage resulted in backlash from fans and former colleagues, including former Flash director John Francis Daley, who appeared to suggest this behavior was not completely unexpected. On social media, the director wrote, "Creative differences" in response to the video. It should be noted that Daley was one of several directors attached to The Flash at one point or another. He departed the project, along with Jonathan Goldstein based on creative differences, reportedly after Miller insisted on a particular tone for the film.

Miller is currently attached to two major projects: The Flash, directed by Andy Muschietti; and Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore, the third instalment in the Fantastic Beasts film saga. While the latter is scheduled to be released this year, the DCEU film continues to face delays, the most recent of which pushed it from its November release to 2023. This came as part of a major reshuffling surrounding Warner Bros.' 2022 release slate. It also affected the release of Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom and Black Adam, both of which have been pushed back slightly. It's also worth mentioning that not all DCEU's films have been delayed. Shazam! Fury of the Gods was brought forward by several months.

The Flash is currently scheduled for release in June 2023. Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore will hit theaters April 15, 2022.
