Am official trailer for DC FanDome 2021 has provided fans with their first official look at Ezra Miller on the set of The Flash.

The trailer shows Miller behind-the-scenes of The Flash, gleefully looking to the audience while the cameras roll. Miller is dressed to impress in the civilian attire of Barry Allen, the alter ego of the Flash, complete with a new pair of specs. Surrounding him are a number of pieces of lab equipment and warning signs, which seems appropriate for the police-scientist-turned-superhero. Previously, director Andy Muschietti dropped a series of teaser images from the film, including a spray-painted Flash emblem that overlapped with Batman's iconic chest plate. Despite that, this is the first time that DC itself has actually released anything from the set.

Currently scheduled for Nov. 4, 2022, The Flash has been described as a loose adaptation of Flashpoint. Originally published as a five-issue mini-series in 2011, Flashpoint revolved around the Flash traveling back in time to save his mother's life. As a result of his actions, Barry irrevocably changed the DC Universe and ushered in the New 52. The big-screen adaptation looks to expand upon that idea by exploring the multiverse, and will feature a wealth of superheroes from different cinematic worlds. Among them is Batman as played by Michael Keaton, who is dusting off the cape and cowl for the first time since 1992's Batman Returns. Also included in the film are Ben Affleck at Batman and Sasha Calle as a new iteration of Supergirl.

The Flash will mark Ezra Miller's first time playing DC's fastest man alive in a solo project. Miller previously appeared as Barry Allen in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, David Ayer's Suicide Squad and both versions of Justice League. Speaking on DC FanDome 2021, the actor promised that the event will "blow people's heads off."
