WARNING: The following contains spoilers for The Flash #768, by Jeremy Adams, Brandon Peterson, Marco Santucci, David Lafuente, Mike Atiyeh, Arif Prianto, Luis Guerrero and Steve Wands, on sale now.

Wally West has finally had enough. Barry Allen is moving on from the Justice League to an even larger role within the omniverse. With Barry leaving the Justice League, the team aims to find a replacement for the speedster in The Flash #768, and their first choice is Wally West. There's only one problem; West wants out of the superhero game. He claims to have had his fill of adventure and wants to settle down with his family. Of course, Barry is upset about Wally's decision but comes to realize its importance thanks to Green Arrow. Wally is worried that if he keeps his speed powers he will continue to use them and bring danger to his family.

When Barry decides to try to help Wally get rid of his powers, his race with Wally accidentally rips through the Speed Force, sending Barry to Paris and throwing Wally eons ago into DC's prehistoric past. Now within the body of a primitive human, Wally still has his super-speed, and he just met a velociraptor that's also the Fastest Dinosaur Alive.

Speed Raptor Flash

As Wally runs with a stampede of dinosaurs, he spots a brontosaurus and embraces the pop culture tropes of the era. West pulls a classic Fred Flinstone move and slides from the neck of the beast to its tail while screaming "Yabba-Dabba-D00!" Wally's fun is short-lived though, as he soon comes face to face with the raptor, a dinosaur already known for its speed. Wally is able to throw the raptor aside, but something happens within the speed force and the raptor somehow copies Wally's powers, making the apex predator all the more dangerous.

The ultra-fast raptor chases West through the jungle and up a volcano. Despite his speed, Wally knows that he cannot outrun the super-speed dinosaur and elects to hide instead. Wally then finds himself in a shot-for-shot remake of the "Clever Girl" scene in Jurassic Park. As he searches for the dinosaur, he is startled by a pair of nostrils that poke out through the side of the bush that he's sitting on. Luckily, Wally has super-speed and does not fall victim to the raptor, like Muldoon did in Jurassic Park

Raptor Finds Wally Flash

Wally realizes that the dinosaur is not chasing him anymore but is shaking violently. As he inspects the beast further, streaks of yellow lightning erupt from the dinosaur's mouth and quickly engulfs everything around it. Wally is not fast enough and falls prey to the light. He reappears moments later but in a very different place. Now in the future, he finds himself in Bart Allen's body.

Wally West simply wanted to live a quiet life with his family. However, the Speed Force has other plans for Wally, since his attempt to remove the powers leads him on yet another adventure. Now, West will have to find his way back home to his family, and he may have to embark on a very literal race against time to do so.
