Mirror Master is one of the most infamous and frequent members of the Flash's rogues' gallery. Mirror Master is known for his Mirror Gun, his mirror projectiles, and his ability to travel through one reflective surface to another. Two men have spent the most time as Mirror Master, Sam Scudder and Evan McCulloch, with the former currently occupying the role.

Mirror Master is also a regular member of Captain Cold's Rogues team, alongside Heatwave, Golden Glider, and Weather Wizard, with Trickster, Pied Piper, the Top, and Captain Boomerang having been mainstays in the past. He is one of the more dangerous members of the team, but an argument can be made that the Mirror Master is the Flash's deadliest enemy. Here are 10 reasons why Mirror Master isn't just the Flash's deadliest Rogue, but also one of the most terrifying DC villains in general.

10 He Can Appear Anywhere

One of the scariest things about Mirror Master is the fact that he can appear anywhere. His equipment, weapons, and access to the Mirror Lands allow him to travel wherever there is an adequately reflective surface.

This has allowed him to ambush the Flash and others several times over the years, and it means he can sneak into and strike in almost any location in the world.

9 The Mirror Gun

The Mirror Gun is a strange and especially deadly piece of equipment. It has shown several capabilities over the years, all of which make Mirror Master deadlier than he seems.

Previously, he used the gun to turn people and objects into mirrors and return them to normal, reverse objects as if they have been mirrored, and even open portals into the Mirror Lands itself (more on that later). It's a fantastic piece of machinery, and it's an exceedingly deadly weapon.

8 Scudder Designed His Own Equipment

Though his first mirror discovery was an accident, Sam Scudder went on to personally design and build his weapons and equipment. He knows how all of this works and how to improve on his old designs.

Of course, the same can't be said of Evan McCulloch, the second Mirror Master. However, Scudder returned with the beginning of the New 52, and he hasn't gone anywhere yet.

7 He Can Create Duplicates Of Himself

While they are all largely illusory, Mirror Master can also make duplicates of himself to throw the Flash and other foes off the trail.

These duplicates look like, well, a perfect reflection of the Mirror Master, and they have been able to throw punches like the genuine article. The exact how's and why's of this are shaky, but they do add to the deadly threat that is the Mirror Master.

6 He Can Impersonate Others

Earlier on in his career, one of the Mirror Master's common tactics was to create mirror copies of others and have them commit crimes to keep the trail off of Mirror Master himself.

This means that Mirror Master can further mess with the heads of his enemies, particularly the Flash. Mirror Master can appear as anyone at any time.

5 He Can Use Mind Control

The Mirror Master has also shown the ability to use images in his mirrors to hypnotize and mind control victims. Evan McCulloch managed a long con with this at one point when he took control over his own lawyer.

This means, under the right circumstances and with the correct equipment, Mirror Master could brainwash the Flash and make him his compliant puppet.

4 He Can (Probably) Travel Through Time

This one is a little shakier, but Evan McCulloch did show some degree of time manipulation at one point in his war with the Flash. After all, he was somehow able to de-age Linda Park... somehow. That being said, this isn't the only time that Mirror Master has been able to touch the past.

Both Mirror Masters have often used mirrors to replay past events like a recording and, given his small degree of reality manipulation through his mirror equipment, it's highly possible that Mirror Master can play with time to a degree.

3 He's More Level-Headed Than The Other Rogues

Sanity is a sliding scale with the Flash's Rogues but, at least in the New 52 and Rebirth comics, Mirror Master has come off as more level-headed and reasonable than the other Rogues. Captain Cold has an ego, Heatwave has anger issues, and Weather Wizard's emotions are mercurial at best thanks to his connection to the equally unpredictable elements. That's to say nothing of Thawne, Zolomon, Grodd, and Trickster.

Alongside Golden Glider, Mirror Master may be the sanest of Flash's enemies.

2 The Mirror Lands

Mirror Master has an entire dimension, the Mirror Lands, that is more or less his personal playground. The Mirror Lands are an entire universe connected to reflective surfaces, and Mirror Master has shown a proficiency in navigating and manipulating this realm. Even better (or worse), the Mirror Lands connect him to other universes.

For someone with a seemingly simple gimmick, Mirror Master has a lot of power at his disposal with the Mirror Lands.

1 Everything He Did During The Year Of The Villain

One of the Mirror Master's most impressive feats was his Year of the Villain scheme. He, along with the rest of the Rogues, managed to stage a full takeover of Central City with the help of Lex Luthor's upgrades. A part of this takeover was creating a massive mirror copy of the city and trapping Central City in an isolated mirror realm.

Through this, the Rogues were able to control Central City, and the Flash, along with Kid Flash and Avery Ho (the Flash of Justice League China) were only able to reverse it by gathering mirror shards given to each of the Rogues by Mirror Master.
