Star Grant Gustin was only recently pining for a new look for The Flash, and with ratings for the CW drama at a series-high, the producers can probably afford to invest in some new threads. However, it may not be the costume audiences expect.

While Barry Allen's wardrobe is merely a subject of speculation, we do know that Wally West (Keiynan Lonsdale) is getting a fancy new suit, as during "The Flash's" midseason finale he received the worlds's most awesome Christmas gift -- a new costume -- from his formerly disapproving family. It now appears he'll have a different look from the Flashpoint version we've already seen, something Lonsdale essentially confirmed through his Twitter account.

The 24-year-old actor tweeted several photos of himself having a cast made for what appears to be a new mask. With sculpting, the full-face cast could be turned into any type of headgear, but it seems likely that Kid Flash will get a new cowl. The current, and only, suit worn by Wally's alter ego draws heavily on the comic book appearances commonly associated with the young speedster: yellows and red, with a mask that shows more of the head and face than The Flash.

Given the number of speedsters that'll be showing up in the second half of the season, it'll be nice to have a little splash of color to go with all that red.

Airing Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on The CW, "The Flash" stars Grant Gustin, Candice Patton, Jesse L. Martin, Tom Cavanagh, Carlos Valdes, Danielle Panabaker and Keiynan Lonsdale.
