It's become very clear: "The Flash" season two will have no shortage of characters from DC Comics' extended Flash family. In addition to a number of new arrivals, Entertainment Weekly has word that Malese Jow will return in multiple episodes of The CW show's second season.

"Linda Park will return as Iris West's friend and colleague at Central Picture News and her past relationship with Barry will put both Iris and The Flash in unexpected danger," "The Flash" executive producer Gabrielle Stanton told EW.

Jow was first seen in the role in four episodes of the first "Flash" season, depicted as a reporter and love interest to Barry Allen (Grant Gustin), before things soured due to his ongoing feelings for Iris West (Candice Patton). As EW notes, the Linda Park of DC Comics is a love interest to Wally West -- in DC's prior continuity, they end up married with kids -- and Wally will be introduced on "The Flash" TV show this fall, as played by Keiynan Lonsdale. Still, any connection between the TV versions of Wally and Linda is only speculation at this point.

Earlier today, it was revealed that Violett Beane will play Jesse Quick on "The Flash" season two. "The Flash" second season premiere is scheduled to air Oct. 6. on The CW.
