Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) continues to struggle with his inner demons in an official promo for "Armageddon, Part 3," the next installment in The Flash Season 8's five-episode event.

The 20-second promo continues to lean into the idea of Barry himself being the "Armageddon" event's big bad. "In the last 24 hours, I've started having blackouts," the speedster says. "I attacked my team, my family... I'm losing my mind!" Fortunately, Jefferson Pierce/Black Lightning (Cress Williams) is there to keep the Flash grounded, saying, "Don't you dare quit on yourself."

The "Armageddon" event marks the Arrowverse debut of the DC Comics villain Despero (Tony Curran), who plans to kill Barry in order to prevent widespread disaster -- Armageddon, you might say -- in the year 2031. Barry -- whose mind supposedly "cracks" in the future, causing him to break bad -- believes Despero's claims that he is to blame for the eventual end of the world in this potential future. However, the hero still tries to convince Despero that he is not a threat. In turn, Despero gives Barry one week to prove him wrong, with failure meaning death.

"Armageddon, Part 3" airs Tuesday, Nov. 30 on The CW.
