There are some very big names joining the fray for Sylvester Stallone's upcoming The Expendables 3, but the sequel is leaving room to discover new talent.

Case in point: Actor Glen Powell has joined the cast of The Expendables 3 in a lead role. The young actor will play "a highly trained combat veteran who is also an expert hacker and drone pilot," according to The Hollywood Reporter. It's a major role for Powell, whose biggest screen credit to date is Trader #2 in The Dark Knight Rises.

Powell is the latest actor to join an increasingly packed cast for the next Expendables movie. Veterans of the franchise like Jason Statham and Arnold Schwarzengger are back on board, while veterans of the industry Mel Gibson and Antonio Banderas are about to make their Expendables debut. Likewise, the iconic Harrison Ford is set to join the cast, replacing Bruce Willis in a high-profile ousting of the Die Hard actor.

If the film is even half as interesting as the behind-the-scenes drama, Expendables 3 should be a hell of a ride.
