A new trailer and behind-the-scenes details for Season 2 of The Devil is a Part-Timer!! have been released.

Most notably, the trailer confirms a premiere window for the new season of July 2022 and gives anime fans a glimpse of the story's newest character: Alas Ramus, a mysterious young girl who is born from an apple. Veteran voice actor Hina Kino (Sword Art Online) is set to voice Alas, joining a cast that already features several popular and experienced actors like Ryōta Ōsaka (Haikyu!! To The Top), Yōko Hikasa (The Case Study of Vanitas) and Yūki Ono (Beaststars).

A new cast member isn't the only change on the production side between Seasons 1 and 2 of The Devil is a Part-Timer!!. Alongside another exclamation point being added to the name, the series has a new director and studio; Daisuke Tsukushi (Fairy Tail) and Studio 3Hz have replaced Naoto Hosoda and White Fox. Atushi Ikariya, who was both the chief animation director and character designer for Season 1, has also been replaced by Yoshihiro Takeda (Digimon: Data Squad) and Yūdai Iino (Fate/Grand Order - Absolute Demonic Front: Babylonia) respectively.

Other new members of the creative team include art director Manabu Otsuzuki (Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans), editor Hidemitsu Doi (Black Fox) and special effects artist Kei Ishibashi (Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Crystal). However, members from Season 1's team have returned as well like script supervisor Masahiro Yokotani (Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai), musical composer Ryosuke Nakanishi (High School DxD) and color key artist Akemi Tejima (Cowboy Bebop: The Movie).

Based on the light novel series by Satoshi Wagahara, The Devil is a Part-Timer!! tells the story of Satan and the Hero Emilia, who are transported from their own fantastical world into modern-day Tokyo. While they endeavor to find a way back to Ente Island, they work as a part-timer in a fast-food restaurant and as a call center agent respectively. Alongside the anime adaptation, Wagahara's story has inspired two manga series.

Season 2 of The Devil is a Part-Timer!! isn't the only series making a debut during 2022's summer anime lineup. Other titles include Call of the NightKakegurui Twin and Season 3 of Dropkick on My Devil!.
