"The Defenders" will kick off filming at the end of the year, at least according to "Daredevil" star Charlie Cox. At a two-day Netflix event in Paris, he revealed he doesn't know whether "Daredevil" will get a third season or what "Defenders" will be about, but he does know when the latter starts filming.

When asked about a potential third season of "Daredevil," he replied, "We don't know if there's going to be a season three. I certainly don't know."

"What we do know is at the end of this year we're going to be making 'The Defenders' and, of course, Daredevil is very much a part of that foursome," he continued.

"I have no idea what the storyline is going to be for that show," he added. "I'm very excited to see how those worlds combine... and interested to see tonally how those shows become one."

"The Defenders" will unite characters from across Netflix's slate of Marvel shows, including Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist. According to the show's official log line, "'Marvel's The Defenders' brings together Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Iron Fist and Luke Cage in an epic Super Hero team-up in New York City." A release date for the series has not yet been announced.
