When Marvel's Netflix series culminate with The Defenders, fans can expect it to lead to another phase of series. Finn Jones, who plays Iron Fist, revealed that this miniseries "feels like the end of Phase One" and "the beginning of another phase" during an interview with Digital Spy.

"Let's just say there are certain events that happen at the end of The Defenders which are going to rock everyone's world," Jones teased. "So people aren't going to be the same after the end of The Defenders."

"That's just a lot to compute," added Charlie Cox, who kicked off Marvel's line of Netflix shows as Daredevil back in 2015. "That's Phase One? How many f**king Phases are there?!"

"I go into so many meetings, where they're like, 'We're making this show, but the end goal is that we're gonna rule the world' -- and then you do a pilot and it doesn't get picked up to series," he said. "So I remember signing this contract and just thinking, 'Yeah, let's just deal with Daredevil, shall we? And see how it goes.'"

As it were, Daredevil would land two seasons before leading into The Defenders, which unites the character with the protagonists of Jessica JonesLuke Cage and Iron FistDaredevil is expected to start filming its third season this fall, while Jessica Jones and Luke Cage are in production with their second seasons. Iron Fist Season 2 was also announced at last month's Comic-Con International in San Diego.
