The Dark Knight Rises, Thor, Priest: Apr 13th Comic Reel

Variety reports that actor Daniel Sunjata, Diego Klattenhoff, and Burn Gorman are in the running for supporting roles in the film. "Sunjata will play a courageous special forces operative in the Warner Bros. sequel," they write. "Klattenhoff has been offered the part of a rookie cop who is looking to make a difference." They do not specify Gorman's role, but his name should be familiar to fans of "Torchwood" as the show's sometimes skeevy medical officer Owen Harper. Meanwhile, the Hugo Strange rumor resurfaces, this time at My Entertainment World (via Comic Book Movie) where they describe the plot as follows: "Batman deals with his new status as a wanted vigilante, Dr. Hugo Strange, a villainous psychiatrist, concocts a plan to destroy him and become the new Batman." I'm betting this is just the rumor echo chamber getting the best of the site.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, actor Michael Clarke Duncan is in talks to give Kilowog his voice. While we heard about this right before WonderCon, it was not officially announced by either Duncan's reps or Warner Bros. Now that it is official, it's just a matter of negotiating the contract. Like I said when the actor was first mentioned, I think he's a great choice for the character. Now tell me Christopher Plummer, Peter O'Toole and other older respected actors will voice the Guardians and I'll be a happy man.

Starring Ryan Reynolds, release date: June 17th, 2011

Superhero Hype reports that the production is looking for an "actress to portray beautiful red-headed teenage girl for featured background...(18+ only)." SHH suggests it could end up being a sort of inside joke for the fans, a set-up for Mary Jane's eventually appearance in the new series, or a completely unrelated red-head.

Cinema Blend has a featurette focusing on actor Sam Huntington and his role of Marcus:

Star James McAvoy tells The Wall Street Journal that he loved the "X-Men" cartoon growing up and that his favorite X-Man is Gambit. Meanwhile, director Matthew Vaughn and producer Bryan Singer confirm for Total Film that there are sequel plans afoot. "The fun thing about this for me would be doing [a sequel] in the latter part of the decade, where you've got The Stones, The Beatles, Flower Power," says Vaughn. Singer suggests the sequels could be set decades apart. I'm down for a "Second Class" film taking place in the 1970s with Storm, Thunderbird, and Sunfire.

Release date: June 3rd, 2011

Deadline reports a full trailer for the film will premiere during tomorrow's airing of "American Idol." It will arrive on Apple's trailer site shortly thereafter. I think it's a smart airtime buy as the "Idol" audience will actually want to see the movie if made aware of it.

Starring Daniel Craig, release date: July 29th, 2011

While we've heard Mark Ruffalo talk about his weight trainning to play the Hulk a dozen or so times, Hollywood Outbreak (via Comic Book Movie) asked the actor about playing Bruce Banner. His response: "I have to find those places where it intersects with real life, I think. So working on Bruce Banner walking around and thinking 'I could tear the roof off of this like that.' That does something to you. I'm trying to bring those elements to whatever I do." I hope he doesn't get burned out by the constant questions about the film.

Directed by Joss Whedon & starring everybody, release date: May 4th, 2012

In a bizarre twist of fate, Bradley Cooper is in talks to become the fourth (or is it fifth) motion picture Crow, according to The Hollywood Reporter. "[Juan Carlos Fresnadillo,] director of '28 Weeks Later' is said to have met with Cooper in Spain recently, where the two hit it off and shared a vision for the character and the film," they write. Cooper will play Eric Draven, a role first portrayed by Brandon Lee in the 1994 adaptation of James O'Barr's comic book.

Release date: TBA

Xposurephotos.com (via Superhero Hype) has some pictures from the set featuring the freakish paring of Josh Brolin and Tommy Lee Jones thanks to make-up magic:

I think the scary thing is how easily Brolin's face can be molded to resemble Jones.

Release date: May 25th, 2012

Asked if Lois might lose her memory during the power-switch in the upcoming episode "Prophecy," Michael Ausiello at TVLine informs a reader that "there are consequences, but I assure you memory loss is not one of them."
