The Dark Knight Rises Reveals 13-Minute Behind-the-Scenes Video

Warner Bros. has unveiled a behind-the-scenes featurette for The Dark Knight Rises that includes more than 13 minutes of movie footage, interviews with cast and crew, and set shots that somehow still manages to keep all the secrets of the conclusion of Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy. So, if you're looking for clues as to whether Joseph Gordon-Levitt's character becomes Robin or Nightwing, or whether Marion Cotillard's Miranda Tate is secretly Talia al Ghul, you won't find them here.

Still, there are nice details for fans as the actors and producers examine the characters -- Emma Thomas describes Alfred as the emotional center of the films -- and Tom Hardy reveals his excitement at first seeing Christian Bale in the makeup chair. There's also plenty of praise for Nolan's skills as a director, of course.

Opening July 20, The Dark Knight Rises stars Christian Bale as Batman, Anne Hathaway as Selina Kyle, Tom Hardy as Bane, Marion Cotillard as Miranda Tale, Joseph Gordon-Levitt as John Blake, Michael Caine as Alfred, Gary Oldman as Commissioner Gordon and Morgan Freeman as Lucius Fox.
