The Dark Knight Rises Adds Brett Cullen And Chris Ellis

Just when it looked like we'd seen the last of the casting announcements for The Dark Knight Rises, Variety reports two more names have joined the ensemble of Christopher Nolan's final Batman film.

According to the trade paper, veteran character actors Brett Cullen and Chris Ellis will play a judge and a priest, respectively.

Cullen, perhaps best known for his recurring role as an Other on Lost, also appeared on several episodes of The West Wing, Damages and, more recently, The Gates. Ellis has had supporting roles in such movies as Transformers and Catch Me If You Can. Both actors appeared in Apollo 13.

The join fellow latecomers Matthew Modine, Tom Conti and Joey King in The Dark Knight Rises, which stars Christian Bale, Anne Hathaway, Tom Hardy, Marion Cotillard, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Michael Caine, Gary Oldman and Morgan Freeman. In addition, Juno Temple, Josh Pence, Nestor Carbonell, Daniel Sunjata, Burn Gorman and Diego Klattenhoff have been reported, but mostly unconfirmed, for supporting roles.

The film, which opens on July 20, 2012, will shoot in India, England, Scotland, Pittsburgh, New York and Los Angeles.
