THE DARK KNIGHT
Gotham City continues to dominate the news cycle as filming continues in Chicago. Reader Tom Stillwell (sorry that was spelled wrong earlier) was the first to write to us about the fire on set (the Chicago Tribune has the story but Superhero Hype has photos) which caused quite a tizzy in the lakeside metropolis. Of course Superhero Hype has tons of set photos and a set report, while a fan posted actual video from the set, which we've embedded here for your pleasure ...
HELLBOY 2: THE GOLDEN ARMY
Actor Luke Goss talked to Shock Til You Drop about his role in the Mike Mignola-minded sequel. "I play 'the Prince' and in simplistic terminology he's the nemesis," Goss said. "The great thing about him is he's not trying to take over the world, he's a rounded character that's not just driven by greed and I think people are going to enjoy the depth [writer/director] Guillermo [del Toro] brings to him."
FANTASTIC FOUR: RISE OF THE SILVER SURFER
Marvel has posted ten new posters from the Marvel movie, although the Surfer ones borrow an image you've already seen. The studio has also launched a MySpace page for the sequel complete with a flashy new photo gallery showing a few new images.
Getting back to Gotham City, reader Andrew Laubacher wrote in to point out YB Guide's first look at the new animated version of Kal-El in the hit CW cartoon series. The page also discusses a host of guest stars for next season, while Toon Zone has the entire press release that spawned this excitement.
New international spot for the film on YouTube? Oh, sure, no problem ...
The cast of the hit show will be appearing on Larry King Live Friday evening at 9PM EST.
TV Guide's Michael Ausiello only has one thing to say: "It's true; there's a 'death' in the 'Smallville' finale on May 17."
I CAN'T WORK UNDER THESE CONDITIONS
We can't do this without you. The rumors, the scoops, the set photos -- they're all fueled by passionate fans emailing in the goods. The ones who ask, "What do you mean your sister's dating somebody who works for Miles Millar?" The ones who know the code names of movie projects and scour city permit filings for them. The devoted, the involved. Fans, just like you. Whatever you know, we wanna know, and whether you want your name shouted to the web's rafters or kept closer than a classified report, we've got you covered like a comforter. Broadcasting live from Los Angeles, this is your humble scribe Hannibal Tabu (web site, MySpace blog) saying thank you for your time and indulgence, and "enough talk -- let's go make with the 'biff' and the 'pow' already."
