THE DARK KNIGHT

The studio has released a high resolution version of Christian Bale's new Bat suit, without all that text and highlighting as seen in the Entertainment Weekly story we noted on June 15th.

Also: stay tuned to CBR for exclusive set photos, which we plan to have online by Tuesday 11PM PST.

INCREDIBLES 2

Director Brad Bird told the Associated Press that a sequel could still be a possibility. "I love the world," Bird said. "I love the characters, and if I could come with a story that was as good or better than the original, I'd go there in a second. I have pieces of things that I would love to see in a sequel, but I haven't got them all together yet, and I certainly wouldn't want to come out there with something that is less than the original ... Sequels are not part of the business plan at Pixar. It's all about the filmmakers being passionate about going somewhere."

LUKE CAGE

Actor Tyrese Gibson expects to be saying "Sweet Christmas!" sometime soon, according to quotes at Sci Fi Wire (despite their erroneous claim that Cage was the first Black comic book super hero). "They're doing rewrites on it now, and we actually have a meeting coming up on it soon, from what I hear, just to see where we are with the whole thing," Gibson said. "Right now they're in the process of getting the rewrites done, and then they'll, I guess, do kind of a formal presentation to see if it's going to be a go."

THE SPIRIT

We got an email from reader Mark Brodersen, who had this to say: "I just came back from vacation and happened to see a guy reading a movie script and starting chatting him up. It turns out he's part of the creative team at Lionsgate (I don't want to say which position as it would blow the anonymity). He's involved with Frank Miller's 'Spirit' movie and confirms that it'll be Lionsgate biggest movie yet and that they hadn't officially signed Samuel Jackson as the Octopus. He said Frank was going to be doing things a little differently with this film than 'Sin City' or '300' and confirmed that Frank would be directing solo." Thanks Mark!

WATCHMEN

Director Zack Snyder talked to Wizard magazine about what he thinks could be cool in a trailer. "If you ever want to make another movie, then you're in trouble if you don't look at it from the standpoint of, 'What are the images I need here?' Dr. Manhattan walking through Vietnam 200 feet tall, the Comedian riding with the 50-caliber rifle and shooting at the Viet Cong and burning out the village ... Those images are going to be like, 'What the f---?' Or you have Rorschach being taken down by the SWAT cops -- that's a cool sequence."

TRANSFORMERS

If you dig through their image gallery at Comics2Film, you'll find some new photos from the Michael Bay-helmed production. Also, writer Roberto Orci was interviewed by IESB, and had some interesting things to say about how much work the project has been. Orci said, "Two years ago we started, it's so hard to count drafts, it was greenlit on the second draft and then from there we just kept improving it and improving it all the way up through shooting, up until about four weeks ago, three weeks ago. We were literally still writing robot dialogue three weeks ago."

READY FOR YOUR CLOSE UP?

We can't do this without you. The rumors, the scoops, the set photos -- they're all fueled by passionate fans emailing in the goods. The ones who ask, "What do you mean your sister's dating somebody who works for Miles Millar?" The ones who know the code names of movie projects and scour city permit filings for them. The devoted, the involved. Fans, just like you. Whatever you know, we wanna know, and whether you want your name shouted to the web's rafters or kept closer than a classified report, we've got you covered like a comforter. Broadcasting live from Los Angeles, this is your humble scribe Hannibal Tabu saying thank you for your time and indulgence, and "enough talk -- let's go make with the 'biff' and the 'pow' already."
