The CW has revealed new character posters for Swamp Thing as the network continues to air episodes of the DC Universe original series.
As The CW continues to air episodes of the DC Universe original series Swamp Thing, the home of the Arrowverse has released a new series of character posters starring the cast of the supernatural comic book show.
The CW's Swamp Thing character posters feature such key players as Abby Arcane, Matt Cable, Daniel Cassidy, Lucilia Cable, Madame Xanadu, Jason Woodrue, Liz Tremayne, Maria Sunderland, Avery Sunderland and, of course, Alec Holland and his elemental alter ego, Swamp Thing. Each poster shows its respective character peering at the viewer as they are consumed by swamp water, in which their reflection is visible.
Swamp Thing premiered its first and only season on the DC Universe streaming platform last year on May 31, 2019. While the show was met with critical acclaim, it was infamously canceled only one week after Season 1's first episode dropped. Swamp Thing's remaining nine episodes were added to DC Universe on a weekly basis, with the show concluding its run on Aug. 2, 2019. The CW, known for its own lineup of shows based on DC comic books, acquired the broadcast rights to Swamp Thing back in May and began airing the series on television earlier this month, following the same weekly release format. Swamp Thing Season 1 will conclude its run on The CW on Dec. 22.
Swamp Thing stars Crystal Reed, Andy Bean, Derek Mears, Jennifer Beals, Henderson Wade, Will Patton, Virginia Madsen, Jeryl Prescott and Kevin Durand. The entire series is currently available to stream on the DC Universe service and airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on The CW.
