In anticipation of next week's season premiere, The CW has released new portraits of the "Arrow" cast, ranging from Stephen Amell as Oliver Queen and Emily Bett Rickards as Felicity Smoak to new series regulars Colton Haynes as Roy Harper and Manu Bennett as Slade Wilson.

The breakout drama, based on DC Comics' Green Arrow, returns Oct. 9 to a Starling City, and an Oliver Queen, drastically changed by the devastating events of the May finale. Unable to stop the Undertaking and save his best friend, Oliver leaves, only to find in his absence that other vigilantes stepped in to take the Hood's place.

Among the new heroes is Black Canary (Caity Lotz), who's only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the DC characters paying a visit to Starling City this season. However, the most-anticipated one is easily Barry Allen, (played by Grant Gustin), who will appear in three episodes before, the network hopes, making the leap to his own "Flash" spinoff series.

The second season of "Arrow" premieres Wednesday, Oct. 9 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on The CW.
