The CW's upcoming Gotham Knights series is filling out its cast of heroes and villains, with Carrie Kelley and Duela Dent officially joining the show's roster.

Variety is reporting that Olivia Rose Keegan (High School Musical: The Musical: The Series) will play Duela, described as "abrasive, unpredictable and a little unhinged" but also a "survivor." Duella was "born in Arkham Asylum and abandoned by her father – the most dangerous man in Gotham." As a result, she "forged herself into a brutal fighter and skilled thief." The character is inspired by Duela Dent, better known as Joker's Daughter, an unreliable young villain who claims to be the child of multiple Gotham rogues.

Navia Robinson (The Rocketeer), meanwhile, has been cast as Carrie Kelley, the first female Robin in the comics who debuted in Frank Miller's The Dark Knight Returns. Kelley is described as "fearless, idealistic and plucky as hell," skills she used to talk her way into becoming Batman's sidekick. "If there’s a burning building or a person in need, she’s the first to rush in. Just as long as she’s home by curfew."

Finally, Oscar Morgan (Master of the Air) will play Turner Hayes, a brand-new character not from the comics who will be one of Batman's adopted sons on the series. The trio joins Fallon Smith and Tyler DiChiara, who were recently cast as siblings Harper and Cullen Row. In the comics, Harper is Batman ally Bluebird.

Rumors about casting for the upcoming series, which is unrelated to the video game of the same name arriving later this year, previously teased Duela's involvement. That same casting rumor also claimed Nightwing and fellow Batman ally Spoiler would be joining the series. While that casting report did correctly peg Harper and Cullen Row as joining the show, it's possible that the description believed to be Dick Grayson was actually for Turner Hayes given the similarities between them. This would make a certain amount of sense as Titans currently has its own Nightwing/Dick Grayson. The description for Spoiler, meanwhile, may have been pointing towards Carrie Kelley.

Created by Bob Rozakis, Duela Dent debuted in 1976's Batman Family #6. In the comics, she's claimed to be the daughter of the Joker and Two-Face/Harvey Dent, but neither is true. The new casting announcement, however, seems to indicate she will be Joker's daughter. Carrie Kelley, meanwhile, made her debut in Miller's iconic 1986 book The Dark Knight Returns. She's been rumored for a live-action debut for years, but Gotham Knightwill finally make it a reality.

Gotham Knights doesn't yet have a release date on The CW.
