A "Hawkgirl" solo TV series is not happening, according to two sources that would be very close to such a thing: The CW network and Ciara Renee, who plays Hawkgirl on the upcoming series "DC's Legends of Tomorrow."

On Sunday, SpoilerTV ran an article that a "Hawkgirl" show was in the "very early stages of development." The report was quickly picked up by multiple news outlets, including CBR. A representative from The CW reached out to CBR News to state that the report was "not true," and Renee herself took to Twitter to dispute the claim.

"Srry to disappoint, but the rumors are false," Renee wrote. "No #Hawkgirl solo show! Thanx for all the love though! Even more excited to start #DCLOT now!"

A spinoff of The CW's popular DC Comics-based shows "Arrow" and "The Flash," "Legends of Tomorrow" is scheduled to debut midseason on the network, featuring Renee as part of an ensemble cast also including Brandon Routh as the Atom, Caity Lotz as White Canary, Victor Garber as Professor Martin Stein/one-half of Firestorm, Wentworth Miller as Captain Cold, Dominic Purcell as Heat Wave, Arthur Darvill as Rip Hunter and Franz Drameh as Jay Jackson. Renee first appeared as Hawkgirl's civilian identity, Kendra Saunders, last month in a brief cameo in "The Flash" first season finale.
