The CW celebrates National Superhero Day with a montage of its most popular heroes. The minute-long video features the casts of "Arrow," "The Flash" and "DC's Legends of Tomorrow" along with more unexpected scenes from "iZombie," the original "Flash" series and a short sequence from "Birds of Prey."

National Superhero Day was created in 1995 by Marvel Comics employees who teamed with Powercapes.com (now Superfly kids.com) to "encourage people nationwide to be heroes in their home community." Marvel interns donned the custom-made capes to go out in public and learn what superhero people would be if they had super powers. The day is now celebrated with the intent of recognizing those who risk their lives every day to keep us safe.
