While the 2018-2019 regular television season still has four months to go, The CW has already announced early renewals for ten different series including programming from the Arrowverse and Riverdale.

All five DCTV series, including Black Lightning, have been renewed for full seasons for the 2019-2020 regular television season along with Riverdale, Supernatural, Dynasty, Legacies and the Charmed reboot.

"The early renewal of these signature CW series gives us a head start on laying out the 2019-2020 season, and this is just the beginning," declared The CW President Mark Pedowitz at the Television Critics Association Press Tour in Pasadena today. "These shows provide a strong foundation for our multi-platform programming strategy, and we look forward to building on this with even more returning and new shows as we approach the May upfront.”

With Batwoman preparing to begin principal photography on its pilot episode, there may very well be six DCTV series on the air simultaneously during the 2019-2020 season. Not among the renewals announced by the network today are iZombie, which has confirmed the upcoming fifth season will be its last, and the new drama series All-American which will receive its renewal decision following its season finale in May.
