Vampire Diaries executive producers Chad Fiveash and James Stoteraux will be in charge of another drama at The CW in tandem with director Robert Zemeckis.

The hour drama in development, titled The Cove, will center around two sisters who reunite at an island resort in the Caribbean after their father dies. There, they find out there are many secrets buried on the island, including a treasure their dad sought which could hold the key to eternal life.

The Cove will maintain the soapy tone the network is known for, while also incorporating a dose of daredevil adventure. It will join Fiveash and Stoteraux's other stacked credits, including One Tree Hill, Krypton, Kyle XY and Switched at Birth.

Zemeckis, of course, famed for the Back to the Future trilogy, is known as well for Forrest Gump, Contact, Cast Away and Beowulf. He will executive produce through his company Compari Entertainment in association with Warner Television.

Also set to executive produce are Jack Rapke and Jackie Levine from Compari. Future projects Zemeckis will be producing are NBC's mystery drama Manifest and a live-action remake of The Jetsons at ABC. He is tapped as well to direct the pilot episode for Jetsons.
