Meanwhile, Becca reunites with Billy Butcher and the Boys and reveals Homelander and Stormfront kidnapped her son, Ryan. As the Boys plan a rescue, Kimiko -- still grief-stricken over her brother's murder at the hands of Stormfront -- tells Frenchie she's afraid she'll freeze up in the upcoming battle. Frenchie promises she'll know what to do in the moment.

The Boys launch their desperate rescue attempt, but Stormfront confronts them in the process. Surrounded by her signature purple lightning, Stormfront drops from the sky, hurling bolts at Mother's Milk and Becca while they drive to safety with Ryan. As their car spirals into the air, Stormfront turns her attention onto Starlight, who shoots beams of light in defense. As she revels in the disorder, Kimiko laughs out loud for the first time in the show.

What follows is a series of fast and brutal punches, courtesy of Kimiko, who launches the attacks with her superhuman strength. Stormfront shoots both Starlight and Kimiko to the ground with her lightning attack. Desperate for an edge, Hughie and Frenchie attempt to retrieve their rocket launcher from their car until Stormfront destroys it and the car in a fiery explosion.

It seems that Stormfront gains the upper-hand after snapping Kimiko's neck and momentarily incapacitating her. As she advances upon the fallen heroes, the words "Hey Kraut" cause her to turn straight into a punch from Queen Maeve. With "Boys Want to Be Her" playing in the background, Kimiko snaps her neck back into place, and along with Maeve and Starlight, wails on Stormfront with a series of punches and kicks. The Boys watch in awe as "the girls do get it done," and their devastating attacks finally force Stormfront to flee.

The fight was a turning point for all three of the women who'd suffered under corruption and darkness around them. Kimiko struggled to contain her rage and fear as she dealt with the grief and trauma of her brother's murder. Her triumph over Stormfront gave her the justice she fought for. Meanwhile, Starlight's very beliefs and identity were challenged following the revelation that Compound V played a role in her upbringing. She wasn't a hero blessed with powers by God -- she was an experiment. She'd been assaulted and bullied by Vought and The Seven, and Stormfront's mounting suspicions and continual torment of Starlight left her on the run and paranoid. The fight proved Starlight was still a hero, and she was more determined than ever to bring down Vought.

Even back when we first meet her in Season 1, Queen Maeve has suffered under the thumb of the radical and dangerous Homelander and she was forced to play as Vought's puppet while her initial ideals were shattered into oblivion. Her battle against Stormfront and subsequent blackmail of Homelander signifies an awakening for Maeve -- by taking out Stormfront, she removes her nemesis's critical ally. Plus, with Starlight back in The Seven, the two women now have more power than ever before.

The final fight against Stormfront thrust the women of The Boys into critical points in each of their character arcs. If the Season 2 finale proved anything, it's that the women in The Boys are not to be messed with.

Amazon Studios' The Boys stars Karl Urban as Billy Butcher, Jack Quaid as Hughie, Laz Alonso as Mother's Milk, Tomer Kapon as Frenchie, Karen Fukuhara as Kimiko/The Female, Erin Moriarty as Annie January, Chace Crawford as the Deep, Antony Starr as Homelander and Aya Cash as Stormfront.
