As seen in the comics and the Amazon Prime series, Billy Butcher and his team, The Boys, have a deep hatred for superheroes. Hughie, Frenchie, Marvin, and Kimiko, the other members of the capes-killing team, have dedicated their lives to taking down as many pretentious superheroes as they can.

But what about the supervillains? When it comes to the superpowered types who don't pretend to be heroes to get wealth, fame, and power, do The Boys still get that need to kill feeling? What do they make of all the Green Goblins and Ultrons out there? How would this team of tough-as-nails but otherwise powerless citizens do against some of the evil-doers of the Marvel Universe? Here are five Marvel villains The Boys could beat, and five that would beat them.

10 They'd Beat: Owl

Once a Wall Street whiz, Leland Owlsley had to make a choice when the IRS discovered that he was elbow deep in crooked deals and tax evasion; he could either stand trial and likely spend some time in prison, or he could take an experimental serum and become a supervillain. Leland chose the serum and became the Owl.

With his ability to glide through the air thanks to his hollow bones and his superstrength, Owl has been stuck in the c-list level of supervillains for a long time. And those powers aren't going to help him much when Billy and The Boys come calling.

9 They'd Lose To: Mystique

x-men-6-mystique-header

A shape-shifting mutant, Mystique has long been a danger not only to the X-Men but to any hero she comes across. Along with the ability to turn herself into anyone she wants, Mystique is also trained in martial arts and is an expert marksman.

Most importantly, after a lifetime of fearing humans, Mystique is always well aware of her surroundings, which means The Boys won't be able to get the jump on her easily. The moment Mystique feels like things are off, she's going to go into action, and the team of super killers will be in for a world of hurt.

8 They'd Beat: Typhoid Mary

Typhoid Mary smiling with her swords

It's hard not to feel sympathy for Mary Walker. A mutant suffering from dissociative identity disorder, Mary has three personalities. As Mary Walker, she's a pacifist just trying to live her life. As Typhoid Mary, her mutant who uses her telekinetic pyrokinetic powers to work as an assassin for New York's organized crime syndicates. As Bloody Mary, she just loves to cause pain and suffering.

While her powers may sound troubling, Typhoid Mary is actually a low-level mutant. Her telekinetic powers can only lift objects that are ten pounds or less, so it isn't as troubling as it may seem at first. While this wouldn't be a walk in the park, The Boys would be able to take Typhoid Mary down without much work, especially if they waited for her pacifist personality to come out.

7 They'd Lose To: Red Skull

The arch-nemesis Nazi of Captain America, Red Skull has a version of the super soldier serum coursing through his veins, making him a dangerous but certainly beatable foe for anyone to take on. Still, after decades of fighting, dying, and being resurrected, no one has found a way to stop the Red Skull once and for all.

Chances are The Boys wouldn't be the gang to finally put an end to Red Skull's monstrous plans. If the Avengers haven't been able to keep this evil man down, Marvin isn't likely to be the one who comes up with the plan that finally works. Red Skull would kill The Boys without breaking a sweat.

6 They'd Beat: Vulture

Spider-Man battles the Vulture

Adrian Toomes was your run of the mill electronics engineer who happened to invent a harness that allowed the wearer to fly. When he went to tell his business partner Gregory Bestman, Adrian found that Bestman had been embezzling the company's money and had taken off to live the high life. With nothing left, Toomes decided to use his harness to become the supervillain Vulture.

Along with flight, the harness also gives Vulture superstrength, but that isn't anything The Boys can't handle. All they need to do is wait for an old man in a green suit with wings to go flying by and open fire. Soon enough, Toomes would be in a tomb.

5 They'd Lose To: Doctor Doom

Victor von Doom, the son of Gypsies who became the lord of Latveria, is one of the most intelligent and dangerous men to ever walk the Earth. Combining science and magic, Doctor Doom has taken on the Fantastic Four, the Avengers, and Mephisto, just to name a few. This is the man who defeated the Beyonder during the first Secret Wars. He is not someone to play around with.

Even if The Boys were able to get close enough to Doctor Doom to attack him, they wouldn't be able to make sure they weren't just fighting one of his Doombots. And even if it was just a Doombot, that Doombot would wipe the floor with The Boys.

4 They'd Beat: Stilt-Man

Stilt-Man attacks a helicopter

Not every supervillain can have a winning concept. Take Stilt-Man, for example. Inventor Wilbur Day built a battle armor with telescopic legs so that he could rob banks and fight Daredevil. Sure enough, every time Stilt-Man shows up, he gets beaten by one of the heroes who happen to be in the need for an easy fight. Stilt-Man's luck wouldn't be any different if he happened to come across The Boys. While Spider-Man and the others aren't looking to seriously hurt Stilt-Man, let alone kill him, The Boys don't feel the need to hold back.

3 They'd Lose To: Magneto

The Mutant Master of Magnetism, Magneto has long stood high in the pantheon of iconic supervillains. Having nearly died at the hands of Nazis in Auschwitz, Max Eisenhardt saw humanity as a scourge that needed to be wiped out. As a mutant, he believed that the time had come for homo superior to take control of the Earth.

Magneto has faced off against the most powerful heroes and villains of the Marvel Universe, and he's won almost as many battles as he's lost. With his ability to control all metals, Magneto is not someone to mess with, and he sure isn't someone The Boys could beat.

2 They'd Beat: Paste-Pot Pete

Paste-Pot Pete Marvel

If Stilt-Man ever needs to feel better about his villain name, he can always think about Paste-Pot Pete. Born Peter Petruski, Paste-Pot Pete developed a special multi-polymer adhesive that made him richer than he could have ever dreamed of being, but that wasn't enough for him. Peter decided to become a supervillain, using his adhesive to rob banks.

While he prefers to go by the name Trapster these days, Peter will always be Paste-Pot Pete to the heroes who routinely beat him up. And if he happened to catch the attention of The Boys, Paste-Pot Pete would soon be known as Blood-Stain Pete because that's all that would be left of him.

1 They'd Lose To: Thanos

thanos from infinity

Even without the famous Infinity Gauntlet, Thanos the Mad Titan is one of the greatest threats to the Marvel Universe. Dedicating his life and his heart to Death, Thanos strives to kill every living thing in the universe, and on more than one occasion, he came very close. When he did have the Infinity Gauntlet, the only reason Thanos failed was because his daughter Nebula betrayed him. If, for some crazy reason, The Boys decided that it was their job to kill Thanos, it would be best to bet against Billy, Hughie, and the gang.
