A graphic cosplay of The Boys character The Deep, seen at Rimini Comix, has caught the attention of the show's official Twitter account.

A photo of the cosplay, which depicts Chace Crawford's character, The Deep, having sex with an octopus, was tweeted out by Twitter user @lisamancinerh. The show's official Twitter account then quote-tweeted the photo with the caption "I... I'm just gonna put this [on] your timeline."

The cosplay is in reference to an infamous scene in Season 3 Episode 6 of The Boys: "Herogasm." A nod to the superhero Aquaman, The Deep has a strong connection to sea creatures -- to put it lightly. In "Herogasm," he actually has sex with an octopus.

According to Crawford, this was no easy feat. "That rig was the most cumbersome and annoying," he explained. "I didn't realize how heavy it was going to be. It was like a necklace. It was hanging around and they wrapped it, but it was so heavy they kept having to detach legs because I couldn't last all day doing it with this 40-pound thing."

Based on Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson's comic of the same name, The Boys follows a group of vigilantes. In addition to The Deep, members of the Boys include William "Billy" Butcher, the leader of the group, played by Karl Urban, Hugh "Hughie" Campbell Jr., a tech specialist played by Jack Quaid, Marvin T. "Mother's" Milk, a former Marine medic played by Laz Alonso, Frenchie, an arms trafficker played by Tomer Capone, and The Female, a mute woman with superhuman strength played by Karen Fukuhara.

Perhaps The Deep will get a chance to continue to explore his relationship with octopuses because The Boys was renewed for a fourth season shortly after Season 3 went on air. According to Vernon Sanders, head of global television at Amazon Studios, the choice to renew the series was an easy one. "From our first conversation with [showrunner] Eric Kripke and the creative team about Season 3 of The Boys," he explained, "we knew the show was continuing to get even bolder – an impressive feat considering the wild success of the Emmy-nominated second season."

Sanders concluded: "We are immensely proud of the cast and crew that has spawned a franchise for Prime Video, and we look forward to bringing more of The Boys to our customers."

Seasons 1-3 of The Boys are currently available to stream on Amazon Prime Video.
