This article contains spoilers for The Boys Season 3, Episode 6 "Herogasm."

The Boys stars Jack Quaid and Erin Moriarty shared their experiences shooting their nude fight scene.

As reported by Variety, "Herogasm" sees tensions between couple Hughie Campbell and Annie January/Starlight come to a head after it is revealed that Hughie's discomfort with Annie's powers and strength over him isn't just a side-effect of him taking Compound V. "I completely agree with Annie and side with her 1,000% when she says that it’s [Hughie]," Quaid said. "I think the V brought it out in a more pronounced way, but I do think that that is who he is. And this season really forces him to look at that side of himself and come to terms with it and then try to fix it, which I believe he does by the end of the season."

Moriarty continued by saying that, despite the craziness of their circumstances, Hughie and Annie are still susceptible to the ordinary problems that couples face when they are in a relationship. "I think that they exemplify that being in a romantic relationship is hard no matter what," she explained. The actor goes on to elaborate that while the conflict between the two is heightened by The Boys' larger-than-life tone and world, their problems are relatable and comparable to ordinary people.

Given that their fight takes place during Herogasm, an annual orgy event enjoyed by the Vought-sponsored supes of The Boys' universe, Hughie and Annie are actually naked during their fight. "It just added this other layer to it,” Quaid said. "Thankfully, Erin is such a great scene partner and I feel like that’s such a pivotal scene in our arcs in the season. It was good to get lost in the emotion of it, because… that ultimately ended up winning out over how many clothes we had on. The actor goes on to say that since their conflict was shot after the bulk of "Herogasm," the pair was already familiar with being surrounded by naked bodies. Quaid concluded by saying that the scene served as an example of the trust he had forged with Moriarty, stating that shooting the Hughie/Annie fight was a "breeze" because of his co-star.

The Boys Season 3 is now streaming on Prime Video with new episodes releasing every Friday.
