Chilling Adventures of Sabrina star Jaz Sinclair has been cast as one of the young superheroes in The Boys spinoff on Amazon.

Deadline reports that Sinclair will play one of the superheroes named Marie. One of the character descriptions for The Boys spinoff, revealed by The Illuminerdi earlier this month, names a Marie Moreau. She is "a little Black girl from the Caribbean" who dreams of becoming "one of the world's greatest superheroes." She's described as incredibly intelligent and funny but also ruthless in her pursuit of excelling at school and honoring her home. She has "the pride of her nation and her family's financial future riding on her shoulders" as the first superhero from the Caribbean.

An earlier casting for The Boys spinoff revealed Lizze Broadway will play a character named Emma, who also had a character description. Emma is described as incredibly thoughtful and kind but also hides a dark secret that she believes will drive people away if they learn about it. Her mother is also a popular Supe. Other descriptions called for Asian American twins, a former Vought musical teen star and a Black sophomore with "rockstar swagger, quick wit, and a swoon-worthy smile."

The R-rated spinoff of The Boys will take place on a superhero college campus run by Vought International. The untitled spinoff is described as "an irreverent, R-rated series that explores the lives of hormonal, competitive Supes as they put their physical, sexual, and moral boundaries to the test, competing for the best contracts in the best cities. Part college show, part Hunger Games -- with all the heart, satire and raunch of The Boys."

A spinoff of The Boys comes from the success of the second season, which is the most-watched Amazon Original series of all time. The Boys executive producer Craig Rosenberg is writing the project from Amazon Studios and Sony Pictures Television in association with Point Grey Pictures, Kripke Enterprises and Original Film. The pilot is being written by Rosenberg, who will also serve as an executive producer and showrunner. Other executive producers include Eric Kripke, Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, James Weaver, Neal H. Moritz and Pavun Shetty.

Amazon Studios' The Boys stars Karl Urban as Billy Butcher, Jack Quaid as Hughie, Laz Alonso as Mother's Milk, Tomer Kapon as Frenchie, Karen Fukuhara as Kimiko, Erin Moriarty as Annie January, Chace Crawford as the Deep, Antony Starr as Homelander and Aya Cash as Stormfront. Seasons 3 has yet to receive a premiere date.
