In addition to playing former member of the Seven, Lamplighter on The Boys, Shawn Ashmore also portrayed Bobby Drake/Iceman in several of Fox's live-action X-Men films. Now, the actor has revealed who would come out on top in a battle between his two superpowered characters.

During a recent interview with The Wrap, Ashmore said, "Look, honestly, I think that Iceman would win. I think that he would. But I’ll say this, I think Lamplighter would fight dirtier. So maybe that gives Lamplighter the edge, I’m not sure." He also added, that if the battle was based on powers alone, then Iceman would likely come out on top.

Ashmore first portrayed Iceman in the first live-action X-Men film, which debuted in 2000. He would later portray the character in 2003's X2: X-Men United, 2006's X-Men: The Last Stand and 2014's X-Men: Days of Future Past.

Meanwhile, Lamplighter was first mentioned in Season 1 of Amazon Prime's The Boys as a former member of the Seven who had retired. It is later revealed in Season 2 that Lamplighter was actually working at a psychiatric hospital where Vought International is testing Compound V on adult humans.

Ashmore recently spoke about stepping into the role of the fire-wielding Lamplighter, saying he picked up a few performance tricks from his X2 co-star, Aaron Stanford, who portrayed Pyro in the film.
