The third season of The Boys will reportedly make some major changes to Jensen Ackles' Soldier Boy, while also introducing a new Supe as Starlight's former boyfriend.

According to The Illuminerdi, Ackles will have been the only person to don the Soldier Boy persona. In the comics by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson, numerous people suited up as Soldier Boy dating back to World War II. As for Starlight, The Boys will introduce a new Supe named Supersonic that grew up with Erin Moriarty's character.

Other reported details on Jensen Ackles' Soldier Boy on the Amazon Prime Video series state that he lives a long life to become a celebrity and movie star. While it is believed Soldier Boy died during a mission, the truth will slowly be revealed during Season 3. The character details for Supersonic reveal he was a part of the Superhero Pageant Circuit, which is where he met Starlight and the two started dating. If these details turn out to be true, it could drive a wedge between Starlight and Hughie.

The synopsis for Season 2 of The Boys can be found below.

The even more intense, more insane season two finds The Boys on the run from the law, hunted by the Supes, and desperately trying to regroup and fight back against Vought. His power is threatened with the addition of Stormfront (Aya Cash), a social-media-savvy new Supe, who has an agenda of her own. On top of that, the Supervillain threat takes center stage and makes waves as Vought seeks to capitalize on the nation’s paranoia.
