The Boys just revealed five key details in Season 3 that were ripped directly from Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson's original comic book series.

The comic-to-screen round-up comes courtesy of a video shared by The Boys' official Twitter account. It kicks off by noting that the title of every episode in the third season is a reference to the comics, highlighting Episode 4, "Glorious Five-Year Plan" as an example of an episode named after a storyline in the comics. The video then shifts its focus to Soldier Boy, acknowledging that the star-spangled Supe was created for the comics, while also admitting that he looks markedly different in the show. Next, the video confirms that Season 3's infamous "Herogasm" orgy scenes were inspired by The Boys' six-issue story arc of the same name. It then wraps up with two more facts, pointing out that Jamie the Hamster debuted in the comics, and explaining that the Temp V plotline was also inspired by that same source material, in which the Boys take regular Compound V.

The Boys' Twitter account has been busy of late, continuing to serve up content despite the third season airing its last episode in July 2022. A recent tweet that garnered a lot of attention from the Prime Video series' fanbase was The Boys Season 3 blooper reel, which dropped in September 2022. The hotly-anticipated behind-the-scenes footage clocked in at over two minutes and showcased cast members including Karl Urban, Jack Quaid, Antony Starr, Erin Moriarty, Dominique McElligott, Jessie T. Usher, Laz Alonso, Chace Crawford and Tomer Capone messing up takes. Aside from flubbed lines of dialogue, overly long hugs and hard-to-open doors were also to blame for some of the bloopers shown.

The Boys Cast and Crew Tease a Surprising Season 4

The Boys Season 4 is currently in production and recent comments by the cast and crew indicate that the next batch of episodes will be at least as shocking as the last. Jessie T. Usher, who plays speedster Reggie Franklin/A-Train confirmed as much in an interview, insisting that fans won't see what's coming next, even if the overall level of graphic violence doesn't increase. "I can't say if it's more or less [violent than Season 4]. What I can say is it's surprising. It's surprising," Usher said. "It's surprising for everyone. That's all I can say!"

While Usher seemed eager to manage fan expectations, visual effects supervisor Stephan Fleet previously indicated that The Boys Season 4's gross-out content will rival that of previous seasons. Fleet tweeted "My eyes can't unsee what I just saw right now" shortly after shooting on the fourth season commenced, hinting that even more extreme material is on the way.

The Boys Seasons 1 to 3 are currently streaming on Prime Video. Season 4 does not yet have a release date.
